Cars I Would Like To Own

1948 Tucker Torpedo
Including the prototype there were only 51 of these cars ever made. After seeing the movie Tucker: The Man And His Dream I wanted to own one of these beautiful cars. However that is pretty unlike since they usually sell at auction for between $250,000 and $500,000. I was lucky enough though to see 2 of them at the Philadelphia Auto Show in January 2000. 1956 Jaguar XK140 Coupe
Another wonderful auto that is also out of my budget. I came to be interested in these cars after seeing one in the movie Cruel Intentions. The price range for such a machine is $30,000 to over $100,000 depending on its condition and level of restoration. To see a picture of a 1956 Jaguar XK140 Coupe visit the following links.

1969 Dodge Charger R/T
You'll probably recognize this car from The Dukes Of Hazzard. With a 440ci Hemi and three 2-barrel carbs under the hood this is one car not to be reckoned with on the road or the track. (The R/T stands for Road & Track) Fill it up with leaded gas and you're set to burn some rubber and blow away any GTO's, Nova's or Camaro's that get in your way. As far as cost goes, this is one I can afford. For about $10,000 you can get one that's in pretty decent shape, but expect to pay closer to $30,000 for one that's totally restored. 1999 Jaguar S-Type
The new Jaguar S-Type Sedan has a front end styled after the Jaguars of the past and with an interior filled with hand crafted wood trim, leather, and advanced computer systems. The price for a fully loaded S-Type with a V8 engine is about $50,000. For pictures and more information on the Jaguar S-Type try the following link.

1999 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Concours
The DeVille Concours Sedan is a true luxury car. It's powered by a 300 horsepower NorthStar V8 engine. Currently, a used Concours with around 20,000 miles goes for a reasonable price of $32,000. For pictures of the DeVille Concours visit the following links.

2000 Panoz Esperante
The Esperante is the product of a Donald Panoz's independent automotive developement company based in Georgia. Powered by a 320 horsepower 4.6 liter Ford V8 the Esperante can really move. The cost of such a car is just under $80,000. For pictures of the Panoz Esperante visit the following link.
